Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm you meet this age requirement. TenTrust is currently available in Luxembourg and selected EU markets.

2. Accounts and security

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• One person, one account. Duplicate or sock-puppet accounts are prohibited.
• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms without prior notice.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false check-ins, fabricated reviews, or manipulate venue scores.
• Harass, defame, or target individuals, including venue staff.
• Attempt to purchase, trade, or otherwise exchange reviews for money or goods.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download platform data without written permission.
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to manipulate the Trust Weight algorithm.
• Submit content that is illegal, discriminatory, or violates any third-party rights.

4. Reviews and content

• Reviews must reflect genuine dining experiences at the venue reviewed.
• A verified check-in is required for a review to contribute to venue scores.
• You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant TenTrust a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute your content on the platform.
• We may remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
• Published reviews are public. Score-contributing reviews cannot be made private (transparency requirement).

5. Economy (Points, Flames, TrustXP)

• TrustXP is non-transferable and cannot be purchased or converted to other currencies.
• Points and Flames have no monetary value outside the platform.
• IAP Flames purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by EU consumer law.
• We reserve the right to adjust economy parameters, conversion rates, and sink costs with 30 days' notice.
• Unused Flames do not expire while your account is active.

6. Venue claims and Pro subscriptions

Venue claiming requires proof of ownership or authorised representation. False claims are a violation of these Terms and may result in permanent account suspension. Pro subscription fees are billed monthly and are cancellable at any time with effect from the next billing cycle.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or severe violations of these Terms. On termination, your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (30-day grace period before anonymisation).

8. Limitation of liability

TenTrust is provided "as is". We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to TenTrust in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Luxembourg City, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under your local mandatory law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
